Taking the reigns to direct this year's award ceremony, we were most excited to weave storytelling dance through the course of the night's program. A journey of mentorship to embody the qualities of a Star of Excellence. To demonstrate this each dancer was paired with a projection-mapped flat. Over the course of the performances the dancers reposition the flats to create a look per scene. We did not have the budget to track the flats with beacons, so previsualization and off-stage rehearsal enabled the show to come in on budget while achieving the desired impact. We'd set a new bar. We have handwritten notes of thanks to prove it.
